Ashley

Ashley was super fun to photograph because she showed up decked out in her cowboy boots and cowboy hat. We only had fifteen minutes but we got some good shots of this country girl. This is what we were up to...

Sandra

Sandra was another one of my Glam contestants who won a free mini-session, and since I'll be doing a Trash the Dress session with her in the warmer months to come, I was excited to work with her beforehand. We had some serious sunlight but we managed to walk away with some keepers.

Lindsay

Lindsay was first in line for the second day of the mini-sessions. We got together at Merritt Island on a sunny Sunday afternoon and had a great time. We walked away with some goodies.

Lindsey

Lindsey was another one of my Glam nominees from my recent contest, and my second in line for her free mini-session. We ended up with a lovely day and I really love what we walked away with.

Tina

Tina was one of my Glam nominees for the contest that I held back in February. Each participant was awarded with a fifteen minute mini-session. We decided to do the photos at Merritt Island here in Welland. Tina was my first, so we ended up with the beautiful morning light.

Trina's Bridal Shower

I had the honour of being asked to photograph Trina's bridal shower. I will be shooting her wedding in June, and since I also did her engagement photos, I was ecstatic to participate in yet another one of her life changing events!

It was a gloomy and misty Sunday morning when I arrived, and the girls were busy with the final preparations. The day went beautifully and the guests (include me) had a wonderful time. Thanks, Trina, for letting me be a part of your day! I can't wait until June!

Glam Giveaway Winner Announced

After much deliberation and consideration, I have finally decided who will be awarded with a free Glam Session with complimentary hair and makeup.

First, I just wanted to compliment and congratulate each and every person who took part in this contest. I know it isn't easy having your photo up to the public, but kudos to you all for being such great participants. Judging by the plethora of comments you have all received, you are all so blessed to have such wonderful and supportive people in your lives; that alone makes you a winner in my books.

I hope you all understand that this decision was not easy. I went over your stories over and over again, as well as your comments, and I was faced with a very tough choice. You are all such strong women who have struggled and sacrificed, and overcame unthinkable obstacles. If I could award you all with this prize, I would in a heartbeat, but as you all know, there can only be one winner.

So after much consideration, I have chosen Jessica Ballantyne as the winner. Even without the strong support she received from friends and family, her story was incredibly moving and I truly feel that this young lady deserves this. Congratulations, Jessica! Now, since all of you were such good sports, I have decided to do something for everyone who put their photo out there. I feel that you are all deserving, strong women. So, I have decided to award you all with a free mini-session. The sessions will be done in 15-minute slots, and you will be given your images on disc; all fully retouched, and full-size. You will receive about 5-10 images. I will be announcing the dates soon, and it will ONLY be on the dates I announce. Time slots will be up for grabs once I make the schedule, and you will all be notified.

Glam Giveaway!

I have done Glam Giveaways in the past, but decided to switch things up a bit! Glamour sessions are my most requested session, so I figured that this would be a super exciting prize to win. Want your chance to win? Here's what you need to know.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

- The winner will receive a FREE glam session with complimentary hair and makeup -- a $300.00 value!

- The session will take place in the Niagara Region - if you're not willing to travel here, then this contest isn't for you.

- The winner will also receive their full size, high resolution, retouched images on a CD/DVD with printing privileges.

- The winner will also spend a week as the face of Katrina Danch Photography, as the profile photo for my fan page.

SUBMISSION

- You may enter yourself, or nominate someone that you feel is deserving or would love to win a day of hair, makeup, and rocking it glam style for the camera. Age is 12+.

Little Thydore

Brittany had contacted me for a family session with her newborn, Thydore, and her older son and fiancé. Loving babies the way that I do, how could I say no? We got together here at the studio and had a great time. I love working with this family, and working with a super creative mom makes it that much more fun!

Samira

Samira was another one of my mini models for the Glam event I held back in January. She was such a trooper and braved the cold weather like a champ! She is such a beauty and will go on to break many hearts one day.

Lindsay

I held a Glam event back in January, and Lindsay was one of my models. We braved the cold January air and got some really awesome shots! Lindsay hadn't done anything like this before and she was a little nervous, but she totally nailed it and walked away with some good photos. I hope she comes back to me for more -- we had a great time!

Pamela & Family

I had the pleasure of working with Pamela and her family again, this time for Christmas photos. I ventured over to their place and snapped some goodies of them in front of their beautiful (and huge) Christmas tree. I always have so much fun with this family!

The Minifie Family

Jen had contacted me to do photos of her family just before the Christmas holidays. The four of them headed over to my place since little Jordyn was much too tiny to be outside for photos in December. While it took awhile for the kiddos to rock it for the camera, we ended up with some goodies, and my son Jack made a friend with Jen's son Riley. I sincerely hope to work with these guys again!
