Laura & Henry

Laura's bridesmaids had purchased an engagement session from me to give to these two lovebird. We got together on a gorgeous Monday afternoon over at St. John's Conservation Area in Pelham. They brought their pooch, Buffy, and we had a lot of fun. I wish these two the best of luck as them embark on their new life together, and hopefully we can work together again soon!

The Newton Family

I got together with this family on a cloudy Sunday morning over at Merritt Island. Thankfully, the rain held off and we were able to snap some great photos. I had a riot with these four. These guys demonstrate such a great family dynamic and I sincerely hope that I work with them again. A few keepers..

Lauren & Family

Lauren had contacted me to do some family portraits to use as Christmas gifts. We got together on a Saturday afternoon over at Merritt Island. I had a really great time with this family, despite the several funny faces I was getting from one of the little guys :)

Lauren reported back to me after the holidays, that there were tears to be shed when the photos were opened on Christmas day. I was so touched. I can't express enough how amazing it is to preserve memories for others. Thanks, Lauren, for asking me to be capture these moments for you. A few favourites..

Renée

Renée had contacted me to do a more 'intimate' session so that she could make her boyfriend a sexy calendar for Christmas. I was very enthusiastic to work with her, because this was my first time doing a session of this calibre. We got together one afternoon and we ended up with some great shots. Rio & Addison

Rio has been my friend since my college days, and we have collaborated on several photo shoots due to her uncanny talent of hair styling. I love when I get to work with her and her gorgeous daughter, Addison. These two are so much fun and we always walk away with some great shots. The Lamontagne Family

I was lucky enough to meet with the Lamontagne's on a cloudy Sunday morning over at Merritt Island here in Welland. Alyvia, the youngest of the two daughters, was the winner of my Cutest Kid Contest and the family decided that they would get photos together at the same time, in addition to Alyvia's portraits. I had a lot of fun with these four, and I hope to work with them again in the future. Congratulations Alyvia!

It's that time again! KDP is holding another Cutest Kid Contest! Interested in entering? Here is what you can win:

First Prize = One 30-minute session for the child entered, as well as a FREE 8x10 canvas print ($100 value), with the additional option of purchasing all of the high resolution, retouched images on disc at regular price.

Second Prize = a $60 gift certificate for Katrina Danch Photography.

Third Prize = a $30 gift certificate for Katrina Danch Photography.


The rules are as follows:

ENTERING YOUR CHILD IN THE CONTEST

1. E-mail the photo of the child you wish to enter to kdpcontests@cogeco.ca. Please be sure to include the name and age of the child. PLEASE NOTE: ages must range from 0yrs - 10yrs. To be fair, professional photos will NOT be accepted. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to confirm your submission.

2. Submissions will begin THURSDAY DECEMBER 8TH at 12:00 AM. I will be accepting photos via e-mail for ONE week. Any photos received after THURSDAY DECEMBER 15TH at 11:59 PM will not be eligible for entry.

VOTING

3. In order for your child to win, you must obtain the most amount of 'Likes'. Contestants will be notified when the voting begins. Only fans of Katrina Danch Photography are able to 'Like' your photo. Fans of KDP are able to 'Like' as many photos as they'd like. It is impossible to 'Like' a photo more than once, so it eliminates the possibility of cheating. The photo with the most amount of 'Likes' will win. ** YOU MUST 'LIKE' MY PAGE FIRST BEFORE YOU ARE ABLE TO 'LIKE' ANY PHOTO ***

4. If you have more than one child you would like to enter, only one photo per child is permitted. You CAN vote for your own child.

5. Voting will take place for TWO weeks. I will tally up the votes and notify the winner. Any votes submitted after the contest deadline will not count.

6. Please remember that the session is for the CHILD who wins.

7. To the winner -- the shoot can be done in studio or outdoors (within the Niagara Region ONLY).

8. Winner of the last contest is NOT eligible to enter.

PLEASE NOTE: KDP will not tolerate any cruel or insensitive comments. The contest will be closed at the first sign of this. This contest is intended to be fun.. so please be respectful!
