Glam Giveaway Winner Announced

After much deliberation and consideration, I have finally decided who will be awarded with a free Glam Session with complimentary hair and makeup.

First, I just wanted to compliment and congratulate each and every person who took part in this contest. I know it isn't easy having your photo up to the public, but kudos to you all for being such great participants. Judging by the plethora of comments you have all received, you are all so blessed to have such wonderful and supportive people in your lives; that alone makes you a winner in my books.

I hope you all understand that this decision was not easy. I went over your stories over and over again, as well as your comments, and I was faced with a very tough choice. You are all such strong women who have struggled and sacrificed, and overcame unthinkable obstacles. If I could award you all with this prize, I would in a heartbeat, but as you all know, there can only be one winner.

So after much consideration, I have chosen Jessica Ballantyne as the winner. Even without the strong support she received from friends and family, her story was incredibly moving and I truly feel that this young lady deserves this. Congratulations, Jessica! Now, since all of you were such good sports, I have decided to do something for everyone who put their photo out there. I feel that you are all deserving, strong women. So, I have decided to award you all with a free mini-session. The sessions will be done in 15-minute slots, and you will be given your images on disc; all fully retouched, and full-size. You will receive about 5-10 images. I will be announcing the dates soon, and it will ONLY be on the dates I announce. Time slots will be up for grabs once I make the schedule, and you will all be notified.

Glam Giveaway!

I have done Glam Giveaways in the past, but decided to switch things up a bit! Glamour sessions are my most requested session, so I figured that this would be a super exciting prize to win. Want your chance to win? Here's what you need to know.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

- The winner will receive a FREE glam session with complimentary hair and makeup -- a $300.00 value!

- The session will take place in the Niagara Region - if you're not willing to travel here, then this contest isn't for you.

- The winner will also receive their full size, high resolution, retouched images on a CD/DVD with printing privileges.

- The winner will also spend a week as the face of Katrina Danch Photography, as the profile photo for my fan page.

SUBMISSION

- You may enter yourself, or nominate someone that you feel is deserving or would love to win a day of hair, makeup, and rocking it glam style for the camera. Age is 12+.

- Please send a photo of yourself or the nominee to kdpcontests@cogeco.ca, as well as a short paragraph explaining why you or the nominated person should win.

- Submissions begin NOW, and will close on Wednesday February 29 at 11:59 PM.

- PLEASE DO NOT NOMINATE SOMEONE WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION! I do not like posting photos of people who aren't aware of it.

HOW TO WIN

- This contest will not be won by popular vote; the winner will be chosen by me, so make me choose YOU or the person you have nominated! Make your story a good one!

Little Thydore

Brittany had contacted me for a family session with her newborn, Thydore, and her older son and fiancé. Loving babies the way that I do, how could I say no? We got together here at the studio and had a great time. I love working with this family, and working with a super creative mom makes it that much more fun!

Samira

Samira was another one of my mini models for the Glam event I held back in January. She was such a trooper and braved the cold weather like a champ! She is such a beauty and will go on to break many hearts one day.

Lindsay

I held a Glam event back in January, and Lindsay was one of my models. We braved the cold January air and got some really awesome shots! Lindsay hadn't done anything like this before and she was a little nervous, but she totally nailed it and walked away with some good photos. I hope she comes back to me for more -- we had a great time!

Pamela & Family

I had the pleasure of working with Pamela and her family again, this time for Christmas photos. I ventured over to their place and snapped some goodies of them in front of their beautiful (and huge) Christmas tree. I always have so much fun with this family!
